Dream Care Learning Center’s Curriculum

Children’s joy and happiness is a big part of their learning. At Dream Care Learning Center, we encourage them to have fun as a part of their education, with child-led activities which are adapted to their unique abilities and interests!

Inspired by The Creative Curriculum, which encourages hands-on exploration and discovery, our teachers provide children with the tools they need to create meaningful, engaging learning experiences whatever their unique interests or developmental stage.

Our curriculum also emphasizes the importance of relationships between teachers, children, and parents, and focuses on teaching children to think, reason, and problem-solve independently.

Developmentally Appropriate Practices

We believe that it is important to provide developmentally appropriate practices throughout our center, as this is essential for positive child development. These practices ensure that children's developmental needs are met and that they are receiving the best possible care.

Developmentally appropriate practices focus on the whole child and include activities and interactions that are tailored to their unique age, interests, and abilities. They also focus on helping children develop social and emotional skills, language and literacy skills, problem-solving skills, and physical skills. Implementing these practices will not only promote children's growth and development, but it can have a positive impact on their learning and well-being.

STEM-Technology

STEM-Technology can be a great asset in the development of children, helping to foster their creativity and problem-solving skills, as well as increase their knowledge in areas like mathematics, engineering, and computer science.

STEM-Technology has also been shown to help children develop critical thinking and improve their communication skills, as well as build their confidence in their abilities. Additionally, these activities can help them better understand the consequences of their decisions, develop a better understanding of the world around them, and ultimately help them reach their full potential.

Character-Building Education

Character-Building Education

Character-building education is an approach to child care that focuses on helping students develop strong moral character, respectful behavior, integrity, and essential life skills.

Based on the belief that a strong character will help students become successful and responsible members of society, this approach involves teaching students about important values and life lessons such as respect, honesty, responsibility, and self-discipline. It also encourages students to take initiative, think critically, and make positive contributions to their community.

Character-building education is an important part of a comprehensive educational experience and can help students become more successful in their academic and personal lives!

Large-Motor Skills

Large-Motor Skills

There are countless benefits to promoting large-motor skills in early childhood, such as:

  • Improved Cardiovascular Health: Developing large-motor skills in early childhood helps to strengthen the heart and lungs, which leads to overall improved cardiovascular health. Activities such as running, jumping, and climbing, will all help to get the heart rate up and breathing more deeply!

  • Improved Balance and Coordination: Developing large-motor skills in early childhood will help to improve their balance and coordination, both of which are important skills for their ongoing development. By practicing activities such as hopping, skipping, throwing, and catching, children will learn motor coordination, which is essential for everyday tasks such as getting dressed and brushing their teeth.

  • Developed Gross Motor Skills: Gross motor skills are required for movement and coordination of the arms, legs, and torso. By developing large-motor skills in early childhood, will help to improve gross motor skills such as crawling, walking, and jumping.

  • Improved Social Skills: Large-motor skills such as running, playing tag, or playing ball games, will improve children's social skills. These activities help to teach children how to interact with others, share, cooperate, and follow rules.

  • Increased Self-Confidence: When children are able to master large-motor skills, they feel a sense of accomplishment and increased self-confidence, which encourages them to grow comfortable in their own skin.
